We are a training Practice and have GP Registrars working with us. GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors undertaking further training to become GPs. The Registrar treats patients in his/her own surgery but can seek advice or assistance from one of the other GPs.
At times the Practice has visiting medical students. This means that students are occasionally sitting in with the doctor or nurse during a consultation. Patients are informed of this when an appointment is made. It is important for training that students are given these opportunities and you are encouraged to allow these observation opportunities. However, if you feel that your problem is too sensitive and private and you would prefer to see the doctor alone, please mention this to reception on arrival.
